Easy read, good characters a lot of twists and turns. In the end apocalypse story with a good ending in a feel-good read. SD
I have become a huge fan of Terry McDonald and this book is just another reason! The first part of the book is a little weird and very fast paced, but then it settles down and becomes one of those books you can't put down.
If you are a fan of this genre, or of Terry, or are looking for a apocalyptic heroine with a heart - READ THIS BOOK!
Good tale of survival in a post nuclear world. Julie watches a former employee kill her husband and learns he has bee n unfaithful. Georgia is already going to help before the nukes. Julie escapes with a running Jeep and collects a family she never had. Good real. Recommend
I've read all of Terry McDonald's books and can say, without doubt, that he is a wonderful storyteller. There are a few typos and errors in all of his books, but not enough to take away anything from the storyline.
I hope he continues writing such absorbing and interesting books and that a new one is published very soon. Keep writing, Terry!
Four stars is a stretch, but I feel pity. The main character was only partially believable, but I liked how she wiped everyone of her enemies out. That's what it would take to survive.
